We are Fundraising!

Find out how you can help us!

We are a passionate group of junior rowers (ages 13-18) from Eton Excelsior Rowing Club and Windsor Girls School Boat Club. We are a growing club – 50 juniors and rising.  Our club is all about giving young people the chance to learn how to row, train regularly, and take part in exciting competitions!

Even though we’re a small juniors program, we’re big on heart and determination. We’re working hard to get the equipment we need to compete at higher levels, and we’re incredibly lucky to have John Collins, a two-time Olympian and retired GB rower, as our coach!

With his guidance and our dedication, enthusiasm, and love for rowing, we’re training hard to reach our full potential. To help us compete at our best, we need to repair and upgrade our boats and kit—and with the right support, we know we can make it happen!

Our ultimate dream? To race at the Henley Royal Regatta!

Our Fundraising Activities

On 8 February we held a Marathon Rowing event. Our coach, John Collins rowed a marathon (42,195m) non-stop on the erg.  Our juniors also completed the same distance in teams. It was a brilliant day – a BIG THANK YOU to everyone that helped make it such a success – especially our rowers who worked so hard.  Our grand total for the event (so far) is £3, 808 (£3,326 from our Go Fund Me page and £482 from cash donations on the day).

In December and January 2024 we packed bags at Marks & Spencers in Windsor town Centre.  We raised £1,821.12. Thank you to M&S for having us and thank you to everyone that supported us!

In December we sold mince pies at the club and made £167!  WGS also raised £67.50 at their Christmas Fair.

In September 2024, we had a stall at Bray village fête, where we took along our ergos and gave the public a chance to have a row! We raised £431.50.
