Novice Regatta

Sunday 19th May 2019

The EERC Novice Regatta to be held on Sunday 19th May 2019. This is a programme for Sculling novices who are looking to Learn to Row, experience the excitement of a traditional Regatta day and who may even like to carry on rowing at any given level thereafter on one of the most beautiful stretches of the River Thames.

Training

We hold a number of training sessions prior to the event for you to familiarise yourself with correct sculling technique, safety and terminology. During your training sessions, you will learn race starts and tactics culminating in the experience and excitement of a real race from Ruddles Pool to the Club House on the River Thames in a Quad Sculling boat.

A fun day out

It is a great social day at the Club, starting at 8.30am and finishing with presentations at a round 5:00pm. You will be in with a chance to win a Medal with a minimum of 3 races on the day! All crews are encouraged to wear fancy dress, choose a crew Captain and Crew Name and a prize will also be given for the best dressed crew.

Registration

We are taking applications for both individual people and those who already have a full crew of 4. The cost per person per seat is £50.00. A registration form can be found below. For further information and registration details please contact our Learn to Row Manager.
