100 Club

What is the 100 Club??

Eton Excelsior's Own Lottery - The One-Hundred Club. In existence since May 1st 2000, EERC's One-Hundred Club has been and continues to be a key fundraiser for the Club. The "100 Club" has raised  over £20,000 (after prizes) enabling much needed new equipment to be bought (it has also paid out over £10,000 in prizes!!!-----see list of winners below). We have seen tremendous growth in numbers since those early days and now have nearly 60 regular subscribers. However we still want you, we need you, to be part of the action.

What is the One-Hundred Club? It is a big pot of cash made up of £5 contributions from you, our members and any of your friends who would like to join.

How does it work? 100 club members pledge to pay £5 each month (or multiples thereof!) and at the end of every month, three names are pulled out of a hat for the following prizes:

1st prize = 20% of receipts — 2nd prize = 10% of receipts — 3rd prize = 5% of receipts

The remaining 65% of that month's total receipts assist the club in purchasing new boats. So not only do you have the excitement of the draw each month, you are also supporting your rowing club by contributing to its new boat fund.

Time and place of the draw? The last Sunday in each month at the Boathouse.

Do you have to be present? 'Course not, but more suspenseful if you are (winners cheques are sent to you if you are not a regular attender at the Clubhouse anymore)

What do you have to do to join? To help us reach our target of 100 members (which would make 1st prize £100!) please contact Sian Arion, and either fill in a standing order form (email Sian for the form) or leave a cheque for £60 made out to EERC on the boathouse noticeboard. For standing orders complete the Date to Commence box (please use the 1st of the month) and send it to your bank. The £5 standing order can be terminated by you at any time but with your chances of winning so much greater than with the National Lottery, who would want to.

If there is a shortfall of the 100 members? OK so the pay out will not be as large, but the ratios of 20%, 10% and 5% remain. So it's down to all of us to get as many involved as possible. As our numbers increase, so do the winnings.

For your chance to be a winner, contact Sian Arion.
